ISLAMABAD — The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) has unveiled plans to extend the National AI Skills Program to rural and remote areas across the country.
The expansion aims to provide structured artificial intelligence training and capacity-building opportunities to individuals living outside major urban centers, bringing technical skills initiatives to underserved populations.
Extending Advanced Tech Access Beyond Major Cities
Under the planned rollout, the ministry is targeting geographic inclusion to ensure that digital training initiatives are not confined solely to major metropolitan centers. By extending the National AI Skills Program to remote communities, the federal authorities aim to facilitate access to modern technological tools and foundational artificial intelligence education in less developed regions.
Details regarding operational frameworks, precise regional timelines, partner organizations, and application guidelines for the remote training rollouts have not yet been fully specified.
